The Roots of Aayutra

Ayushi Samdani, raised in a family rooted in fashion and textiles, was drawn to design from an early age. With degrees in BBA, MBA (Marketing), and Fashion Design, she combined business insight with creative passion.

In 2024, she launched Aayutra, a sustainable fashion label focused on natural fabrics, eco-friendly dyes, and Indian craftsmanship. Through Aayutra, Ayushi blends ethical design with mindful living — creating fashion that’s both conscious and timeless.

We believe in honest communication about our products, processes, and impact. We share our journey openly, including both our achievements and areas where we're still growing.

Fabrics we use

At Aayutra ,we believe the future of fashion lies in nature. We work with a diverse range of natural cellulosic and protein-based fabrics, thoughtfully selected for their comfort, sustainability, and unique character. Our collections feature hemp, organic cotton, linen, khadi, lotus, eucalyptus, rose, milk, soya, and more plant- and protein-derived textiles—each chosen for its story and its impact. Every fabric we use reflects our commitment to conscious living and timeless design.

Dyes

At Aayutra , we color our fabrics using natural and azo-free dyes that are safe for your skin and kind to the planet. From walnut hull , Indigo, Pomegranate, Indian and Iranian Madder to many other botanical sources, every hue we use is rooted in nature. Free from harmful chemicals, our dyes bring life to the fabric—sustainably, responsibly, beautifully.

Buttons

At Aayutra, every button tells a story of sustainability. We craft our wood-based buttons in-house—designed in custom shapes like triangles, oversized pieces for blazers, and minimal styles for shirts and dresses. Each one is made with care, without plastic, supporting our commitment to 100% plastic-free garments. These natural buttons aren’t just functional—they’re part of the design language, rooted in nature and shaped by intention.

The welfare of workers

Our workers are our family. We provide them with a safe environment. Our masters and tailors form the spine of our business. It is their happiness, growth, and strength that keep us going. We hope our practices can do justice until we procure our fair trade certifications.

Packaging

At Aayutra, we believe packaging should be as thoughtful as the garment itself. Our pieces are wrapped in recycled cotton bags, designed in a rectangular shape to comfortably fit blazers, shirts, and dresses. Each bag features textured cotton straps and is detailed with our Aayutra logo hand-stitched in Katha, making every piece feel personal and purposeful.

Completely plastic-free and reusable, these bags are more than just packaging—they’re multipurpose companions that align with our vision of a cleaner, more conscious future. No waste. No harm. Just mindful design, all the way through.

Trims

Thoughtful in Every Thread — Even the Details At Aayutra , sustainability doesn’t stop at fabrics. Our trims are crafted with the same intention. From cotton-based labels featuring the Aayutra logo and tagline to wash care tags—every detail is designed to align with our earth-conscious values. No synthetics, no shortcuts. Just natural, responsible elements from start to finish.
